  3. This is the shareware version of the Ham Radio Logbook version 1.5
  4.  
  5. Please read through this document carefully before installing this
  6. software.

  18. -    A virtually unlimited number of logbook entries;
  19. -    Each logbook entry can have a memo attached 32,000 characters
  20.     long,
  21. -    Call sign address database that can contain a virtually 
  22.     unlimited number of entries; 
  23. -    Assisted data entry; 
  24. -    Record filtering; 
  25. -    Built in Structured Query Language (SQL) for creating 
  26.     complex reports; 
  27. -    Print the logbook using the simplified print dialog window; 
  28. -    Print the logbook using (complex) SQL queries; 
  29. -    Print address labels or QSL cards. 
  30. NB.    In the shareware version of this program you can only
  31.     preview label & QSL printer output. The shareware version 
  32.     of the program will print all other types of output to the
  33.     pringer and/or to disk.
  34.     Apart form this there is no other limitation to this 
  35.     shareware version of the logbook program.

  37. System requirements
  38.  
  39. -    At least an IBM 386-SX 25 MHz. PC or compatible; 
  40. -    4 Mb. Of Ram memory; 
  41. -    Approximately 5 Mb. Of hard disk space; 
  42. -    MS Windows 3.1 or higher; 
  43. -    Borland Database Engine (BDE) installed on your computer.

  45. Installation
  46.  
  47. Simply copy the contents of the file HLB15.ZIP to an empty directory 
  48. on your computer and run the program cammed SETUP.EXE. Please read
  49. each screen carefully. If you already have the Borland Database Engine 
  50. on you computer then double click on the red check mark on the second 
  51. setup screen to disable the installation. If you wish to update the 
  52. database engine then make sure that you choose the directory in which 
  53. the older version resides. The setup program will only update older files
  54. on your system.

  78. This software is owned by DTS and is protected by Dutch copyright 
  79. laws, international treaty provisions, and all other applicable 
  80. national laws.  Therefore, you must treat the software like any

  83. Shareware Version
  84. You may use the shareware version of this program for a period of 
  85. one month commencing on the date that you installed the program 
  86. on your computer. You may give away copies of the shareware version 
  87. of this program providing all the files in the distribution set 
  88. remain intact and are not altered in any way.

  90. You are not allowed to add this program to any commercial program 
  91. or distribute it with a book without coming to an agreement with 
  92. DTS first. This program may not be sold by shareware dealers without 
  93. coming to an agreement with DTS first. You are encouraged to place 
  94. this program on BBS systems as long as all the files remain intact.
  95. Any software repository to which the author has personally uploaded
  96. this software may distribute the software on CD-Rom and/or on its
  97. mirror sites where available.

  99. Liability
  100. We try to keep our software as error free as possible. Due to the 
  101. complexity of software it is impossible to write software that is 
  102. 100% without errors. This is why we cannot guarantee that this 
  103. software will run on every computer running the all versions of 
  104. windows. We have however done extensive testing on computers running 
  105. windows 3.x and windows 95. DTS will not accept any liability for  
  106. damages of any kind as a result of using this program. 
  107. In any case the liability is limited to the registration fee 
  108. minus any administration cost. We strongly recommend that you make 
  109. regular backup copies of all your important data on a regular basis.

  112. although we cannot guarantee that these bugs will be fixed.
