Ham Radio Logbook readme.1st document
This is the shareware version of the Ham Radio Logbook version 1.5
Please read through this document carefully before installing this
software.

Program Features
- A virtually unlimited number of logbook entries;
- Each logbook entry can have a memo attached 32,000 characters
long,
- Call sign address database that can contain a virtually
unlimited number of entries;
- Assisted data entry;
- Record filtering;
- Built in Structured Query Language (SQL) for creating
complex reports;
- Print the logbook using the simplified print dialog window;
- Print the logbook using (complex) SQL queries;
- Print address labels or QSL cards.
NB. In the shareware version of this program you can only
preview label & QSL printer output. The shareware version
of the program will print all other types of output to the
pringer and/or to disk.
Apart form this there is no other limitation to this
shareware version of the logbook program.
System requirements
- At least an IBM 386-SX 25 MHz. PC or compatible;
- 4 Mb. Of Ram memory;
- Approximately 5 Mb. Of hard disk space;
- MS Windows 3.1 or higher;
- Borland Database Engine (BDE) installed on your computer.
Installation
Simply copy the contents of the file HLB15.ZIP to an empty directory
on your computer and run the program cammed SETUP.EXE. Please read
each screen carefully. If you already have the Borland Database Engine
on you computer then double click on the red check mark on the second
setup screen to disable the installation. If you wish to update the
database engine then make sure that you choose the directory in which
the older version resides. The setup program will only update older files
on your system.

If you do not agree to these terms then you may not use this
program and must delete the program and all its associated files
from your computer.
Copyright
This software is owned by DTS and is protected by Dutch copyright
laws, international treaty provisions, and all other applicable
national laws. Therefore, you must treat the software like any
other copyrighted material.
Shareware Version
You may use the shareware version of this program for a period of
one month commencing on the date that you installed the program
on your computer. You may give away copies of the shareware version
of this program providing all the files in the distribution set
remain intact and are not altered in any way.
You are not allowed to add this program to any commercial program
or distribute it with a book without coming to an agreement with
DTS first. This program may not be sold by shareware dealers without
coming to an agreement with DTS first. You are encouraged to place
this program on BBS systems as long as all the files remain intact.
Any software repository to which the author has personally uploaded
this software may distribute the software on CD-Rom and/or on its
mirror sites where available.
Liability
We try to keep our software as error free as possible. Due to the
complexity of software it is impossible to write software that is
100% without errors. This is why we cannot guarantee that this
software will run on every computer running the all versions of
windows. We have however done extensive testing on computers running
windows 3.x and windows 95. DTS will not accept any liability for
damages of any kind as a result of using this program.
In any case the liability is limited to the registration fee
minus any administration cost. We strongly recommend that you make
regular backup copies of all your important data on a regular basis.
Any description of bugs will be accepted from registered users only
although we cannot guarantee that these bugs will be fixed.
